HowTo Install CalmAV + Clamcour for Courier-MTA

1.) Download clamav and clamav-db packages and install them

ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/dag.wieers.com/packages/clamav/clamav-0.86.2-1.1.fc3.rf.i386.rpm
ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/dag.wieers.com/packages/clamav/clamav-db-0.86.2-1.1.fc3.rf.i386.rpm


2.) Make temp. directories with permissions

Code:
mkdir /var/spool/courier
chown sscmta:sscmta /var/spool/courier
chmod 700 /var/spool/courier

mkdir /var/spool/courier/tmp
chown sscmta:sscmta /var/spool/courier/tmp
chmod 700 /var/spool/courier/tmp


3.) Download clamcour RPM or tgz

download from http://sourceforge.net/projects/clamcour/
install the file ./libexec/clamcour into /var/courier/libexec/filters

4.) Install clamcour filter

Code:
/var/courier/share/filterctl start clamcour


5.) Check result

Code:
tail -f /var/log/maillog
